Goal Getter

Super late goals

Whoops. I was very busy this weekend, running around doing holiday errands and wrapping up a lot of freelance work that needed to get done. My "Goals" and "Meal Plan" posts just kinda fell by the wayside. Such is life. Last week was a mixed bag in terms of staying on task with my goals. Some days I did well, other days not so much. One daily that's been suffering the most is the laundry one. I need to get better at paying attention to the laundry. Also, I didn't clean the bathroom...again. However, it's in pretty good shape, so...yeah I'm trying to make excuses.

Anyway, on to the lists! My daily tasks are:

  • Make the bed EVERY DAY.
  • Put away the clean dishes in the morning.
  • Spend 10 minutes a day on dishes.
  • Do something laundry related every day.
  • 10 minute pick up before bed.

For my weekly task:

  • Clean the bathroom

Some holiday specific tasks I need/want to get done this week:

  • Get a Christmas Wreath (we got the tree!)
  • Decorate the outside
  • Wrap presents (still need to do this)
  • Go shopping for more gifts and wrapping (still need to get a few more things and more wrapping materials)
  • Clean the exposed shelves in the kitchen

Weekly Goals - Holiday Edition

So, after my mid-week check in, I kinda didn't do my daily tasks AT ALL for the rest of the week. Insert sad trombone sound here. As far as doing the weekly task, yeah, that didn't happen either. SMH. I don't know what's going on, but I got to get better so this house looks at least presentable come Christmas day. Speaking of, Christmas is coming faster than I would like it. I am SO not ready. Ugh. I still have to do shopping and we still need to get a tree. Plus, this year we are finally going to put up some outside decorations. We were here in this house last year, but didn't decorate outside except for a door decoration that Bigby promptly destroyed after the season. We can't do lights outside because there aren't any outside outlets in the front of the house. Honestly, I'm fine with that because I don't want the higher electric bill.

I'm not going to add another weekly task because I have some holiday specific tasks I need to get done this week:

  • Get a Christmas Tree & Wreath
  • Decorate the tree and outside
  • Wrap presents
  • Go shopping for more gifts and wrapping

Ok, so I might not necessarily HAVE to get all of those done this week, but I want to get all of those done this week.

I'm back and so are my weekly goals

Hope you all had a great holiday...well, if you live in the U.S. and celebrated Thanksgiving. Our holiday was ok. Honestly, Thanksgiving isn't my fave holiday, but I'll take the paid time off. Thursday, Mr. LL and I ended up staying home and just relaxing because that's just the way things turned out. Friday was supposed to be Thanksgiving with my family, but Mr. LL had to work (he couldn't turn down the extra money when we need every penny), so I went by myself. My mom was supposed to go with her wife and mother-in-law, but they were both feeling sick. So she went solo as well. It was a small get together but we all had a good time.

Back to weekly goals. I totally used the holiday/time off as an excuse to slack off, but it's time to get back into the groove. I feel like my daily goals are about as much as I can handle right now, so I'm going to start adding a weekly task. Things that I can get done any day of the week but need to be done at least once a week.

So, to recap, my daily tasks are:

  • Make the bed EVERY DAY.
  • Put away the clean dishes in the morning.
  • Spend 10 minutes a day on dishes.
  • Do something laundry related every day.
  • 10 minute pick up before bed.

For my first weekly task:

  • Clean the bathroom

Starting soon, I'll be adding "big projects" to these lists. I need to start making room for the baby as well as get things ready for Christmas, which we are hosting my family for the first time EVER this year. These projects won't necessarily have a set timeline, but they are things I want to be mindful of and work into my schedule.
