#YEAROFHAPPY

#YEAROFHAPPY: February 2015

This month's #YEAROFHAPPY challenge is to go to the thrift/dollar store with $10 and buy the weirdest, goofiest, funniest things you can and then post a hall on your block or do you video hall.

We don't really have extra funds right now, even just a spare $10. So, I was going to give myself $5 to complete this challenge. However, honestly, we don't have the extra $5. It is what it is, and I'm not sad about it. All of our bills are paid, on time; we have a roof over our head, food in our fridge and each other.

So instead of spending money to buy some happiness, I thought I'd just share with you what brings me the most happiness in my life.

MR. LL

#YEAROFHAPPY

I am going to participate in the #YEAROFHAPPY hosted by Allison, of Allisonleighann.com, and Lizzie, of OctoberJune.com, in 2015. Each month there will be a prompt, and I will post my response here on the blog.

I'm a little late for January, but the prompt for this month is:

Write a love letter to yourself. Write all the reasons you're awesome, write down your hopes and dreams for the year ahead, any resolutions, heck, write what you had for  lunch. Share why you're grateful for 2014 and what you want to achieve in 2015. Share whatever you want - it's your letter.

So, here is my love letter to myself:

Dear Me,
I just wanted to remind you that you are a smart, ambitious and driven person. You have the capabilities to go out and get what you want out of life. Don't let fear hold you back. Keep strong and hold your head up.

I know that life can be a b*tch at times, and you feel like you've lost your voice, your fire, your strength; but you haven't, I promise. It is all inside you still and you can still draw from that strength.

Focus on you this year. Do more creative projects. Write more. Read more. Get out and live life more. Spend more time with Mr. LL and making the best of the crappy little apartment you are in right now (you may be there for a while). Don't waste your life in front of a screen. If you get bored, DO SOMETHING!

You got this, Lyn. You can make this year your b*tch, so don't let the struggles get you down. You are much loved and have much love to give.
